Expired Availability
To promote the release of Borderlands 3, Gearbox introduced the Vault Insider Program, which ran until May 18, 2020.
Through this program, players could complete promotional tasks to earn VIP Points. You could then use these points to purchase legendary items for various Borderlands games, including the Vault Hero SMG.
Upon purchase, a Level 12 Vault Hero was sent to your account. Accepting it would add it to your inventory.
