  • Effective against armored enemies. Ineffective against flesh enemies and very ineffective against shielded enemies.

    Corrosive Damage in Borderlands 2

    Corrosive Damage is very effective against Armored Targets. Recognizable by their yellow Health Bar.

    Normal Mode:  +50% Damage against Armored Targets. -10% Damage against Flesh Targets and -25% Damage against Shielded Targets.

    True / Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode: +75% Damage against Armored Targets. -40% Damage against Flesh Targets and -60% Damage against Shielded Targets.

    A Loader (Shielded) in UVHM, would get 175 Damage with 100 Damage Weapon. A Stalker (Shielded) would get 40 Damage, after the shield his shield is depleted he will receive 60 Damage.

    The Corrosive Status Effect lasts for 8 Seconds. It deals damage (1/3 ( ±5% ) of its Status Effect Damage) 3 times per second.

    Shock Specific Weapons: Stinkpot, Dahlminator, Gub, Hornet, Infection, Hive, Retcher, Bad Touch

    Other Shock Specific Items: Pandemic, Impaler, Bone of the Ancients

    True Vault Hunter Mode: +75% Damage against Armored Targets. -35% Damage against Flesh Targets and -50% Damage against Shielded Targets.

    Can cause the Melt Status Effect that lasts for 5 Seconds. It deals damage (1/3 ( ±5% ) of its Status Effect Damage) 3 times per second.
